Sacque Gown- Also called robe `a la francaise, this gown has a tight fitted bodice in front and box pleats at the neck in the back. It is worn over a panier to support the skirt and underskirt. The underskirt has ruffle trim. The overdress is trimmed in lace, ribbons and various decorative trims. The bodice can be worn with a decorated stomacher.(See Photo Gallery)
